Please note that AFP requires all applicants to be 21 years of age on or before the start of the program.

We encourage you to review the Program Guide & What to Consider Before Applying for information about program structure.

Application Information:

• Do not submit the application as a Google Document! Copy this document and then use it to type your answers and cut and paste them into the online web form.
• AFP will keep applicants informed throughout the selection process via the email address you provide. Please take appropriate measures to ensure we have up to date contact information and that emails from applications@alaskafellows.org and tina@alaskafellows.org are coming to your inbox, and not filtered to spam or trash.
• If you cannot access or have trouble with the online application, please contact applications@alaskafellows.org for further instructions.
• Answer all the questions, check your grammar and spelling BEFORE submitting. We do evaluate spelling.
• Many of the questions below are longer essay questions. You may wish to download/copy the this Google Document, fill out your responses and then copy and paste them into the Google Form.
• If you are applying to work exclusively with a specific host organization you already know, please email tina@alaskafellows.org.
• If you would like an email reminder the week before the application period ends, and to be notified of other events and activities related to the Alaska Fellows Program, please subscribe to the Alaska Fellows Program email list (found at the bottom of this page).
• Questions about application materials and interview timelines should be directed to the host organization contact. You may apply for multiple positions, but please pay attention to the application materials requested by each host organization and upload them accordingly to the Google Form.
• We encourage you to reach out to current fellows/alumni with questions about the day-to-day fellowship experience.
